we bought a farm

so that's my excuse. the title pretty much explains it. i started this blog as kinda my diary & i haven't been doing a very good job on keeping it updated sooooo....let's see. i came home from kansas about 5 weeks ago. it was an awesome experience & i made some unforgettable friends but no i don't know yet if i'm going back next year. ;) so about the farm thing, we bought my grandparents place so we're sorta really busy with that. i babysit 7 kids this summer (not all at the same time) so that adds to the craziness. i'm gonna try (lol heard this before) to keep this updated but i kinda doubt that'll happen. :P if you wanna see more pictures of my life my instagram is @jessannwingard. i hope you have a great summer!

accepting you

     accepting yourself for how you are is probably one of the hardest things a girl has to overcome. we constantly wish there was something different about us or that we had a certain skill or maybe looked different. we worry what people think of us, how they view us--when in reality they are probably worrying about what you think of them. we convince ourselves that we aren't good enough, pretty enough, skilled enough, and that our flaws outweigh our good. the thing is--we aren't perfect, but no one is!
     i guess i write about this topic a lot because i need it myself. it's hard to remember that we are made exactly how we're suppose to be. God created a masterpiece when he made us & if he wouldn't have wanted us to have freckles or red hair or brown hair, He wouldn't have made us like that. we are His daughters and He loves us exactly for how we look and who we are. the outward appearance isn't even the important part. the one thing we should be worried about changing if it has flaws is our personality and character. that's what defines us. this is said so often but people need to hear it until they believe it. our life will be much happier & fulfilling when we accept ourselves exactly the way we are. after all, God does & that's what counts! :)

hey y'all

hey people! :)
so every post i write begins with "sorry it's been awhile" so i won't even bother saying that. ;) today is the first time i've had wifi for almost a month & a half!! i also haven't been home for a month & a half! the second semester of school has been going even better than the first. it's a lot of fun seeing friends everyday & .... believe it or not....learning new things. ;) i won't be able to blog that much until summer so if you want to keep up with me then follow me on instagram (@everydayjessann) or add me on snapchat @jessannphoto to see snipets of my life. :) while i've been up here i've still been shooting for Forever His Princess so i will leave you with pictures of that.....well gotta go! see ya & have a wonderful week!
